Driveway Questions
Q: How long does a new driveway take to install? A: Most driveway installations take 2–5 days, depending on size and material. Block paving and tarmac driveways are generally quicker than natural stone or resin-bound surfaces. We'll give you an accurate timeframe as part of your free quote.
Q: Do I need planning permission for a new driveway? A: In most cases, no. Provided the surface is permeable (allows water to drain naturally) or the water is directed to a lawn or border rather than the road. Non-permeable surfaces over 5 square metres may require planning permission. We can advise on this during your free site visit.
Q: What's the difference between block paving and tarmac? A: Block paving is more durable, easier to repair in sections, and offers more design flexibility. Tarmac is generally more cost-effective and quicker to install. Both are suited to North Wales weather when installed properly.
